Available in four different sizes and are only flown by Kenmore Air pilots. We fly seaplane charter flights during daylight hours as per the Visual Flight Rules (VFR), which means our seaplane operations usually end just after 7 p.m. All seaplanes are positioned back to the Kenmore Air Harbor in the evening.
Where will you go next?
Sucia Island • Lake Isabel • Cutts Island • Matia Island
Fly into a remote beach, hop off the plane and enjoy a few hours of remote serenity. Bring a picnic or some refreshments or just enjoy nature as served.
The northernmost of the San Juan Islands, this horseshoe-shaped island is accessible only by boat and is considered the crown jewel of the state’s marine parks.
There are no services on the island, which is known for its beautiful green water and forested hiking trails.
This lake is located in the Central Cascades just north of Gold Bar, and while it isn’t technically a secret, there’s no hiking trail leading there so it’s tough to access. Well, unless you arrive on a floatplane.
Finding your way to a place you can’t hike to let alone drive is a special way to spend an afternoon.
You’ll find a perfect day at the beach on this tiny little island west of Gig Harbor in the Carr Inlet. The island itself is just 2 acres with a sandy beach accessible at low tide and a clay butte that is topped with trees.
Located just a half-mile northwest of Kopachuk State Park this is a perfect spot for an afternoon on the beach.
The majority of this island is closed to the public to provide undisturbed habitat for wildlife. Hiking is restricted to the 1.2-mile trail, which provides a glimpse of old-growth island forest habitat that is found in only a very few places in the region.
The pristine state of Matia Island gives you a chance to see the San Juans in their natural state.
Alderbrook Resort • Captain Whidbey • Roche Harbor • Eastsound
Celebrate your weekend at a Washington State Waterfront Lodge.
A top-tier luxury spa, this resort sits on the shores of the Hood Canal with the Olympic Mountains providing an incredible backdrop. You can smell cedar in the air and eagles fly overhead, making it an unmistakably Northwest experience.
When you board one of our floatplanes, your weekend escape starts the moment you leave the dock.
Nestled in an old growth forest that is beautifully rugged, Captain Whidbey is a wonderful mix of both old and new. The lodge dates back to 1907, and the inn offers idiosyncratic cabins or the Lagoon Rooms with their 20th Century modern design.
Step off your seaplane, onto the dock and walk into a different world that feels slower and more honest.
San Juan Island is home to the state’s longest continuously operating hotel, the Roche Harbor Resort. The incredible craftsmanship embodied by the clapboard construction is complemented by the modern amenities of a luxury spa.
Visit a piece of history that has hosted everyone from John Wayne to former president Teddy Roosevelt.
Located at the heart of Orcas Island, the largest of the San Juans, Eastsound gives you access to everything from heading out on the water to watch for whales or taking a hike up Mt. Constitution, which is the highest point in the archipelago.
The variety of activities makes it easy to see why Orcas Island is often referred to as the gem of the San Juans.
