Charters – Kenmore Air Seaplanes
Our floatplane charters are the very foundation our business is built on: Taking our customers where they want to go, when they want to go.
Find your spot, fly on your schedule
Custom charters are available from our seaplane terminals on Lake Union and on Lake Washington and can be taken to a variety of unique destinations from private beaches to waterfront lodges to island adventures. We would love to chat with you about your getaway.

AMAZING PICNIC LOCATIONS
Sucia Island • Lake Isabel • Cutts Island • Matia Island
Fly into a remote beach, hop off the plane and enjoy a few hours of remote serenity. Bring a picnic or some refreshments or just enjoy nature as served.
Sucia Island
The northernmost of the San Juan Islands, this horseshoe-shaped island is accessible only by boat and is considered the crown jewel of the state’s marine parks.
- Sandstone formations
- 25 picnic sites, 5 shelters
- 10 miles of hiking trails
There are no services on the island, which is known for its beautiful green water and forested hiking trails.

Lake Isabel
This lake is located in the Central Cascades just north of Gold Bar, and while it isn’t technically a secret, there’s no hiking trail leading there so it’s tough to access. Well, unless you arrive on a floatplane.
- Elevation of 2,900 feet
- Fishing for lake trout
- Look for “secret” canoe stash
Finding your way to a place you can’t hike to let alone drive is a special way to spend an afternoon.

Cutts Island
You’ll find a perfect day at the beach on this tiny little island west of Gig Harbor in the Carr Inlet. The island itself is just 2 acres with a sandy beach accessible at low tide and a clay butte that is topped with trees.
- Picnic areas, but no potable water
- Also known as Deadman’s Island
- Good beach for butter clams
Located just a half-mile northwest of Kopachuk State Park this is a perfect spot for an afternoon on the beach.

Matia Island
The majority of this island is closed to the public to provide undisturbed habitat for wildlife. Hiking is restricted to the 1.2-mile trail, which provides a glimpse of old-growth island forest habitat that is found in only a very few places in the region.
- Six campsites, picnic site
- Explore the coast along Rolfe Bay
- No campfires or wood collecting
The pristine state of Matia Island gives you a chance to see the San Juans in their natural state.
