CANADA’S SUNSHINE COAST IS ALWAYS BEAMING

Some of the most beautiful shoreline you’ll find on the continent is the Sunshine Coast, which is tucked away in the southwest corner of mainland British Columbia. You can’t drive here, though. It’s accessible by boat, ferry or — most conveniently — one of our floatplanes. Kenmore Air flies you to this stretch of pristine shoreline, spanning more than 100 miles, where magnificent granite walls are reflected in the beautifully placid water. Chatterbox Falls sits at the head of the Princess Louisa Inlet, and you’ll be able to see — and hear — the water tumbling 120 feet down into the pool below.

This is a region known for waterfall hikes, funky little towns, and hidden coves not to mention the sandy beaches that are the Sunshine Coast’s calling card. As for the name? Well, this stretch of coast gets up to 2,400 hours of sunshine annually thanks to its location in the rain shadow of the Vancouver Island mountains.
