San Jaun Island Farmers Market
Visiting local farmers market is like immersing yourself in the heartbeat of a region. Among the stalls the seasons rule, art is celebrated, and locals chitchat over the latest happenings.
Each of the islands in the San Juans has its own weekly gathering of the fresh fruit and daily catch variety. But at the heart of Friday Harbor—the largest town in the San Juan Islands—you’ll find the region’s oldest operating Farmers Market.
Housed in the historic Brickworks Events Center (formerly the Friday Harbor Brick & Tile Company), the Saturday market features an average of 35 different vendors. The market’s selection includes the fruits and veggies you would expect. But, you’ll also find fresh seafood, grass-fed beef, high-quality goat products and so much more.
From potters and flower artists to jewelry makers and body care products, there’s a little something for everyone — including your immediate appetite. So be sure to come hungry. The market is a great place to grab lunch. Throughout the day several local artisans are dishing up a selection of baked goods, fresh pastas, and grilled oysters. Plus, you’ll often be treated to live music performed by local musicians.
Open Saturdays 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. April through October
